now i might be partially biased, cuz i friggin love enslaved, but the new album rawks my sawks

I downloaded it aswell but am going to buy it so feck it.

It sounds excellent! I'm so glad they decided to push the melody even further this time.

The whole album has a great feel to it, a weird spiritual ethereal quality the music seems to float. Seems like their best album yet!

I loved "Bloodhemn" and "Ruun" from Enslaved. Good band.

I'm going to listen new material, very soon.

Ohh. I loved the stuff I heard on Ruun. The melodic stuff they do is incredible. I shall be getting it then!

I've been meaning to check out these guys for a while, I was channel surfing one night and there was this awesome black metal dude screaming "IIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAA" and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I never checked them out again though. What should I start with?

if youre fond of prog-ish (GOOD prog-ish) stuff, then i second fubar's choices, if youre also fond of teh black metalz, and all that shit 'bout vikings and so, then go with frost, eld, blodhemn AND MARDRAUM!

I like the splits Hordanes Land and The Forest Is My Throne/Yggdrassil as well as their albums Frost and Eld. I liked Blodhemn a little less and beyond that I thought that Ruun has a couple of cool songs. It just feels a bit too far removed from how I used to know them. So it's a bit weird listening to those later albums as a fan from the earlier work.

I looooooooooooove Ruun. I also have Isa and Blodhemn and I like those a lot too.

Vertebae I'm not too sure about yet, needs a couple more spins. On first listen the production sounded horrible, or were my ears messing with me? (They do that sometimes)
