my dad is thinking of going to canada to do some work for half the year and suggested maybe i should go look for work and a place to live in canada. he thinks the usa is going down the drain and isnt the same as it used to be.

my thing is where do i actually start looking. what part of canada do i start first.

Sorry but I just had to laugh a bit. :D

I'd say get as close to the Dev as you possibly can so you can stalk him and give us secret samplez of Ki.
I don't really have any good advice to give since I'm relatively far away, sorry D: But moving could always be interesting, doesn't have to be negative!

Canada seems like a really cool and beautiful place I'd love to live and work there....maybe I'm being naive, heh, but I say go for it!....and I have no idea where to start looking.

he(my dad) has been here in the states since 1976. he is in his late 50s now. just the way the last decade as he explained as been with the way the country as been going and the work in his field and health he thinks it might be good to have some change. and i agree to some aspect only as far as the working part. a couple people suggested it might be good for me to to give try going to canada or another state in the usa. fresh start.

Everyone in Canada knows Bob!!!
Actually, the financial thing is going to effect different provences differently. Here on the west coast we' re still kinda in a bubble 'cause of the Olympics.

Stay away from Ottawa if you want a decent job and don't know French. I assume the same is true of much of the country east of there. I used to dislike Toronto because it was too busy, but now I live in LA. Go figure.
