Hello, all. (well, those who have come to read, any hoo. xD)
Christmas is coming up, which means I can get a new guitar pedal or two! HUZZAH!
Problem is, I have absolutely no idea what to get. I've got a rather lovely Boss distortion, so that's all sorted, so I was wondering if you lot had any other suggestions?
I was thinking delay, but I don't know if there are any I should focus on getting or avoid. Beyond that... Well, that's why I've come to you. =D

Delay sounds like a good choice. I have a Boss delay pedal that works alright. There are better ones floating around, though.
You might also consider a wah pedal. A Dunlop or a Morley Bad Horsie works quite nicely.

possibly go for some behringer effects pedals as you can go for 2 for the price of one pedal. theyre acctually very good, their delay in particular is great. possibly go for a reverb pedal and a chorus pedal too.

This isn't a Boss pedal, but the Zoom G2 is a pretty cool pedal/patch bank. It is a little bit easier to use than the POD when just jamming or practicing because you can cycle through the many patches with the foot pedals. There are some different versions of it, but one comes with an expression pedal for even more control. Probably not the best thing to use live, but for just chilling out, exploring a lot of different sounds, or jamming along with a drum machine (which it also has...40 individual beats), its a whole bunch in a small and affordable package.

But if you're gonna go with a Boss pedal, definitely go with a delay. Delay rules.

It would help if you said what you have and what you play etc.
But I'd say get a wah, for instance a Dunlop Crybaby.

The guitar is just some bog standard thingy, and I'm currently using an MG SEries 15CDR amp, if that means anything. I'm hoping to step up to a nice peavy, but that won't be happening for a good couple of months.
What I play is hard rock, metal, that kind stuff. Call me Mister Generic. =D

POD looks like a good idea. If you insist on having it in pedals there are floor versions, with builtin wah pedal and stuff. Considering the quality, I think they're surprisingly cheap (especially classic POD 2.0 or floor POD).

What the poop guy said! I bought a Pod XT a few months back and it's awesome. Pod XT Live for pedals.

The pod is certainly quite nice.
I'm thinking of maybe getting myself a Delay of some kind (I'm thinking Behringer, but the boss ones have a nice tone too), and possibly a chorus, too, though I'm not sure. Having some sort of ghostly, spacey tones seem very tempting, but I'll have to go try one out first.
