Concept albums

Just listening to Cradle of Filth's 'Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder', and thinking it's a damn fine effort as a concept piece. Just wondering what Devin fans think are the greatest concept albums of all time? Obviously in these surrounds the mighty Ziltoid must get a mention! I still have to give it to Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime though. Simply stunning and untouchable in it's creation and execution.

Couple of obvious choices
Opeth - Still Life
Opeth - My Arms, Your Hearse
both great stories/concepts/albums!

Ayreon - Into The Electric Castle
Fucking masterpiece, even better than The Human Equation which features Devin.
Next to this album comes Ziltoid.

Best album ever, story is a large part of that.
I've never thought of Colors as a concept album, what's it about?

What do Princess Diana and Pink Floyd have in common? Their last big hit was the wall.

I can't really think of any concept albums that I like because they're concept albums except for Ziltoid. It's probably the most "complete" album I know of, and the story is very clear. I like Still Life of course but I don't really think of it as a concept album. Oh wait, Scenes from a Memory! Awesome. I consider PT's FoaBP and Nil Recurring to be concepts as well.

I could have sworn I read about it being a concept album.

Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime
Dream Theater - Scenes From A Memory (you scared me for a moment there, Aby!)
Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, & The Wall
David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars
There are some others I like, but these 6 are my favorite.
Edit: Pain of Salvation - Remedy Lane, The Perfect Element Pt. 1, & BE. Damnit!

Does Star One's Space Metal count? I think we can assume making lotsa cheesy awesome songs about 80s movies is some kind of concept.

any album that has any form of a theme running through its songs is considered a concept album. it can be a storyline, subject matters or even the way the songs are played
oh and i left obsolete out coz i most definitely favour demanufacture. although obsolete still kicks ass
