Here is where we can share some quirky observations of Dev's music, like..........

"Hooray for doctor young" with the children playground noises. Synchresta.

"There's only one keeeeeey to unlock the door" key is held in a certain keynote. Infinity.

"This love it's about control" control is held solid with, control. SYL. Alien.

just before the voices of dev talking to someone in the death of music fades out, you can hear dev start talking in some cartoony voice

Yeah I think it was a reference to Dr Carl Jung too.
Dev was talking about his works at the time of the recording I think.

Anyway, quirkiness.
The tune being played on what sounds like bones in Skeksis. It stands out for me everytime.

Yeah more than likely but I like the idea of Dev playing on a set of bones :-)

Whole beginning of "Noisy Pink Bubbles", beets thing from "Earth Day", whole "Death of Music", all places where that waltz beat is used, putting smooth poppish melodies between layers of noise ("Shitstorm") etc. Being bit WTF yet still maintaining integrity (you know, weird things but not in "curiosity" manner) was one of the things that attracted me to his music. Xylophone part is splendid indeed :)

How he can put a Devy twist on EVERY genre. Bad Devil is so unmetal but so incredibly metal at the same time!

It is however, miss-spelled Dr. Young in the lyrics in the booklet.

^ Kinda like Heaven Send vs. Heaven's End.

I like the rambling at the end of The Death Of Music, something about Fukuoka and then Dev spelling it out as Fuck you ok eh. I laughed hard the first time I noticed that. :D
