Tea

I've seen a lot of posting about Dev drinking only tea now and I was wondering where I should get a good start. I've been making this Chai Spice Decaf tea, but I'm curious about what I might like. I'm trying to stick away from coffee as well! There are so many flavors each with their own effect on the body and mind, it almost leaves my head spinning while standing in the tea isle.
Any suggestions on where to start? I've tried only a handful of teas and don't want to grab something disgusting, black jellybean style...
I've been meaning to try some Bubble Tea as well.

Just buy a packet and try it...
I mainly drink black tea (green on occasion) but I sometimes add spices into it myself....
cardamon pods are good....green and black ones, just crush them and put them in a pot with the tea and leave it for about 5 minutes.
Add half a teaspoon of sugar to bring out the taste a little more (not too much otherwise you'll taste the sugar and that's not good! Unless you like it)
Green tea can be quite bitter, especially if you leave it brewing for too long. 2/3 mins at the most
Get loose as it's better (or is it all in my head....hmmmmm)
Yogi tea (brand) is quite nice....so is Twinnings (UK based tea place)

Good licorice tea and rooibos are two of my favorites. Licorice tea is naturally sweet too, and if you ever have a cold it'll whoop its ass right away

I mostly drink green tea, but most herbal teas taste pretty nice as well (berries, lemon, etc.). Some brands have variety packs that come with 2-3 bags of different types, so try one of those. I actually haven't tried orange pekoe (plain 'ol tea) yet... should probably get around to that some day. I also can't give you any advice on loose tea leaf brewing because I haven't got myself one of those special kettles yet, but I'm planning on it at some point.
A lot of people have told me that they love bubble tea, but IMO it tastes like crap. Probably just me, though.
[edit] Just remembered. Green tea is starting to come in a whole bunch of different varieties (Green Earl Grey, Green with Pomegranate, Green Decaf, etc.), so if you're looking for just plain green tea, look for one that says something like "authentic Chinese green tea". It's usually the closest, although I myself prefer Tetley Honey-Lemon Ginseng Green tea.

Trader Joe's (a California based supermarket) sells 96oz jugs of unsweetened black tea, and mint green tea. Delicious, full flavored and healthful. That stuff is great. I don't think I've ever had a better thirst quencher!

TAZO black tea is great stuff. Doesn't need anything but ice.
I recommend boiling the water on its own, then pouring it onto about 4-5 pouches in a sturdy pitcher.
I'm sure if you do a youtube search for Alton Brown's Good Eats, you'll find the episode dedicated to tea. Love the guy...

Can't beat a good cup of british tea.
Altho a good place to start might be a variety pack. I got a green tea variety pack recently with various flavours, all good to me.
There's something very comforting about a cup of tea.

I live around in Oregon and I'm going to be looking for that among the others noted here. So many ideas!
My friend brought me a few new bags over now, Irish Breakfast, English Breakfast, Lemon Green Tea, Pomegrante Green Tea, Orange Spice. Yummy, I've thought of the sugar before, put a spoon full in a cup with some yummy honey and oh yeah!
I also found a strainer with a bag of "Evening In Missoula"! Supper Yummy as well!
Please more ideas! How does one make bubble tea at home?

Yorkshire Tea is good for a proper British cuppa - you can get it in normal or hard water optimised versions which is great.
Mint tea is good after meals -aids disgestion. fennel and camomile and both very nice.

Earl Grey is the regular tea in my house, I do like me a bit of Yum Chaa though, which is a rediculously expensive loose leaf from Camden Town. They got one called Cookies and Cake which has black leaf, vanilla, orange, and tiny tiny white chocolate hearts

All their tea is pretty, there's a really fruity one with random confetti in it
But it's black coffee at work cause I don't have like, a teapot there, and I fear some of the scabby actors will steal my precious tea
