Wow! I can't believe that Trent Reznor is saying the same things that Radiohead and Dragonforce said a long time ago!

I thought he says this since long time too. He's like the face of all that anti-music industry movement isn't he (personally - I think he does good job).

Dragonforce are terrible though :P I recall seeing them in a shitty club in Croydon neither of them sober enough to stand straight thinking "...oh lawds, this is gash.". Couple of years later they're MASSIVE.

Lot of bands I know have been using this approach, one of them a pretty well established underground death metal band, and their strategy when the band formed was to make hundreds and hundreds of demos and give them away, the guitarist being a roadie would chuck them into the crowds at Slayer gigs, and with close ties with bands like Akercocke and SikTh, they formed a pretty decent fanbase from nothing. Trent forgot to mention the value of networking...

im a big fan of T-Rez, i just think he has to make sure hes in tip top shape because the goth kids that love him are gonna be turned off if he looks too "jolly" :D
