				I BROKE A STRING!

This was the first gig I ever played guitar and it was just going to be for one song. I was a little worried before the gig because I had played NO bass at all in the past 2 weeks and only guitar. So what happens? I broke a string!
I'm kinda proud though, I feel like cryptic coroner now. It was even the E string. Don't worry, we didn't start playing punk songs. I grabbed my drummer's guitar and finished up the last 3 seconds of the song.

Did you pull out the "I broke a string!" line? That'd have been a good laugh.

I have to admit I would've but I didn't have the mic infront of me... I immediately thought of Dev though and just laughed.

Well since all the bands were all friends, there were about 12 or 13 guitars between 4 bands.
A few days before our first gig, our other brother band had 2 guitars and some gear stolen. Thankfully, insurance replaced 2 base model ibanezes with a nice epiphone explorer and sweet as jackson.

Breaking a string and just letting it blow about in the wind while carrying on with your crazy soloing will get you much kudos from the guys that care!

Sadly I was playing rhythm at the time.

Well you should have started soloing when it broke! Especially if it was the lowest string, you can't play rhythm with no rhythm string - so solo!!
