I've got Cubase LE and using the Universal Sound Module drums that come with the program. Anyoen of any good sounding drum machines or a place where I can get realistic rock/metal drum samples for use with a drum sampler? Any help is much appreciated! Free samples would be even better
I use these with Fruity Loops: http://www.naturalstudio.co.uk, the free sample is pretty extensive, I wonder what the full version is like...

Not free, and you wil need that drum sampler, but drumkit from hell is a good option

Drumkit from Hell Superior is the most realistic drums you can get at the moment.
I have absolutely no idea how good these are or anything (or if they are virus free or anything, so I can't give any guarantees, but might not be a bad start for free.

Yeah well obviously Drumkit From Hell is a little money hungry, probably processor hungry too? It would be pretty damned sweet to get Tomas Haake playing on my songs but

Cheers for the help I'll give those a go.

It's not that expensive. You can get Drumkit from Hell 2 for 99 euros. It's not that CPU hungry, but you really need to have at least a decent amount of memory. 1 GB, I would say, is the absolute minimum. Definitely at least 1.5 GB, but 2 GB is recommended. But no matter, memory is cheap nowadays anyway

DFH is fuckin cheap man! I don't know how much you're used to paying for professional audio software but JEEZ...
my band: http://ektoise.bandcamp.com/
If you've already got a sampler, the original DKFH is like £50-£60 here and although I believe that superior is appropriately named, thats a pretty small amount of money, and you can get some comparatively good sounding drums (plus, if your computer is old like mine, it's a better option
..still need a fair amount of ram though)

Yeah well I'm not exactly a 'professional audio software' type. Especially after I got duped into buying a USB 1.1 audio interface after not researching. Hooray for latency...
I've realised also that 512 RAM is not enough after I tried loading NS-Kit and it said i don't have enough memory to load the soundfonts....
So let's say I bought DFH. Will my Celeron 2.7GHz computer be able to handle it with 512 RAM? WHat will be a reasonable amount of RAM to be able to use it with?
I'm an idiot, that question was answered before earlier! CHeers!
