You're right, Kris.

Dev mentions this in the audio comment of Terria on
the bonus disk, included in the digipack/tour-edition.

I just listened to it again and it goes like this:

"When you start focusing in on those little guitars, playing those
crunchy little solos and everything far, far in the distance, and
that chinese...oriental...cantonese, whetever it is, thing talking
there it's like...you get so deep into the quietness of that...etc..."

He doesn't tell us that it's a commercial here, but then again,
I too remember havin' read or heared that it actually is one.

I just listened to it then and I know what his talking about. It does draw you in to an extent where everything in the songs seems to help you relax...It helped me :D

It does sound Japanese, I wonder what commercial it was?
:? :?:

Hate to be an ass, but "oriental" is a type of food or art. Asian would be the word you are looking for.

I wouldn't normally say anything, but I got chastised in Korea when I said "oriental" instead of Asian, so I am trying to pass on the info, so we don't piss off our Eastern brothers and sisters.

I will check out this afternoon, but I think this forein language you may listen to at the end of Mountain is an extract from a ... French newscast! Or maybe it's in another song?
Long time I've not listened properly I admit!

It's French.
They something about Le Premier Minister (Sorry my bad French, hehe!)
So, here's the question:

Was this broadcast taken from a Canadian/Crench (parts of Canada is French) radiostation or a French radiostation?

Hey Hevyminik...you're absolutely right...it IS french...

But we're talking about the ambience vocals at the end of "MOUNTAIN"
here, not about the ambience vocals at the end of "CANADA"...

You're right Terraformer : it is on mountain, and it sounds like a TV advert or serial soundtrack, or something like that. Funny thing about this, if you listen carefully to the voice singing, it sounds like dev's voice!
Was he singing over the music, like when we sing "dallaaaaaas" when the serial begins?

It's in the end of "Canada" [ it's a sample from TV (quebec channel)] that you can hear french voices
"....Au court d'un débat à l'assemblé national,le 1er Ministre c'est dit désolé, que des jeunes s"opposent à l'ouverture des frontières..."
