All song of Ocean Machine beats those pretty softie ballads any given day.

this should be in the Devin Townsend area, not the general...

just to be pedantic.

Sunday Afternoon for me.
I see it a bit like the 2nd part of a big song formed by it and Away.
And the vocals are amazing on this one, as for Deadhead, some clean lyrics, and some extreme screams (though not as extreme as deadhead :p).
And the end gives me pictures of landscapes in my head, sort of an epic song in a "constructive way" (well I mean epic things are often battles, cataclysms etc etc...).

Both songs are very different from each other and I love them both, but I'm particularly fond of Sunday Afternoon. In fact, it's one of my favorites.

Ah, now I want to listen to it. Stupid work.

Slow me down gets my vote, simply because it's the one I listen to most. Not to say that I don't think Sunday Afternoon is a great song too...

Ryan knows where its at, it is the ultimate road-trip song i reckon... Sunday afternoon that is. Its so spacey and awesome... one of dev's finest moments.

Slow me down would be cool if you were driving really fast. I like the lyrics too... it reminds me of hanging out with girls.

Sunday afternoon still stands out more, slow me down is like the potential radio hit of the album, then you buy it and find sunday afternoon to be supremely better. But they are still both awesome.

Detox vs. All hail the new flesh... that one is hard but if i had a gun to my head id have to go detox, that song pwns.

Slow me down is my choice, that track is the perfect ending to the album and leaves me feeling conent.

Sunday Afternoon.

I bought AE on a sunny Sunday and listened to it from beggining to end - but when we got to Sunday Afternoon, i felt a real affinity with it due to the time and day that i heard it.

I love the warm vocals, tinged with a sense of meloncholy - each time i hear it, it bring a smile to my face, and a touch of sadness inside.

I think Slow Me down is weakest on the album.

I went with Slow Me Down, it has that great uplifting feel to it. It also makes me think of The Wildhearts, which is obviously no bad thing.
