That's the wondeful effect of Slow Me Down for you!

AE seems to be really popular with the casual Devin Townsend fans. It's not my favcourite by a long shot, but I can see it's appeal. It's very too the point and melodic.

Hmm.....I always had a funny thought about AE being his sell-out album without actually selling out, if that makes sense. But it gets to the point and it definetely has all of his trademark signatures: there is plenty of ambience that is flowing with the music and his guitar playing is more straight-forward than ever. I can't believe some people don't like it much, it really does stick out strongly.
