i agree with blazingmonga that they're both totally different albums in style and mood. to me they're both at the same level and i can't choose. AE was my first dtb experience and i love it, OM was my third and i was well drawn into it, no i really can't choose!!!

AE's great, a masterpiece. But Ocean Machine's just a tiny little better

It's OM for me, no contest. OM's not as simple as AE, and I would even say that its catchy moments (Life, Regulator, etc) are catchier than those on AE.

OM Vs. Synchestra is a better battle.

OM was my first Dev album and has always had a place in my heart, so I choose OM.

OM forsure !!!!!!! I'd give OM a pretty decisive edge over AE.

OM got me into Devin's solo stuff. When it became a reality that I would represent that album live on drums in the DTB, I was so stoked !!!! It's perfect from start to finish, just my opinion.

AE is great and probably the closest thing to OM that Dev has done since, but there is a certain magic that OM has. Both are cool albums in their own rights but in the end, I definitely think OM is a much stronger album.

That's where I think Synchestra is the better album, in my opinion. They are two totally different albums though... I prefer Synchestra's diversity over OM.

Right now, I would say AE. Im just super into it, and I can really get into every song on the album. OM is Amazing, and was always my #1, but maybe Ive listened to it too much, cause now theres songs I skip, which is why I decided on AE.

I really love Synchestra, but to me, its no.4 behind OM, AE, and Terria. Im sure time will change this all again, it always does.

for me it's OM. it's my favourite album ever. (I didn't think I'd ever say that about any album, but it's just...well it's just the best)

You could put any album by any band as the second option, and I would still choose Biomech. I just like it that much.

Well, it is the greatest album ever written....

These two albums are the ones I like the least of his solo output. (Which puts me in a minority here, I think.)

But both albums do have their strong points. OM works great as a studio effort, while the songs off AE are a great experience to hear live.

So I guess it's a tie, then...

OM is classic.

my vote goes to Ocean Machine..that album is just so amazing! one of the best albums in my collection.
