Earth Day: The real lyric....?

Near the end of the song, second/last time through the chorus, the lyric book says:

"Little child your time is up...please turn the heat up ".

When I listen, though, he sounds like he is saying something very different for the first part ("[something something] I cover up"????)

Anyone know what he's actually singing?

EDIT: What I *do* hear may not be "I cover up"...I'm typing this from memory, while at work. :P I may be confusing that with the (consistent) lyric from the first chorus: "Little lies to cover up." However, whatever he says is definitely different than what the lyric book says.

Listened to it again after reading this, and it almost sounds like "kilo brains are covered up". Or it might be "key load braids", something that sounds like that. The covered up parts I can agree with, but I'm not so sure about the rest.

Yeah you've got me stumped.

The closest I can get is "Hear the *something?* I cover up, please don't call me up".

Tis how I hear it anyway.

And thanks for the excuse to listen to Terria!

Heal the plains I cover up. Kinda makes sense in the context of the song?

The thing I really want to know is when he says "The message..". because I always seem to miss it, despite wearing headphones. It is kinda like the quote about Marijuana in "Noisy Pink Bubbles". I never actually hear it.

A few of the lyrics to Earth Day in the booklet don't sound right to me.

And a lot of the time there are bits in the lyrics to Devy songs (marijuana quote in Bubbles, the message is... bit in Earth Day, nerves on fire... passage in Olives, etc) that must be inaudible in the actual tracks.

Have anyone here tried listening to Ants while reading the lyrics? I can't make them fit at all. :P

^Tried, and it barely fits for me.

I agree with Olives, that big rant that comes after the initial waiter guy just doesn't come through at all, at least I can't hear it. Just waiters mumbling about unrelated stuff.

"Heal the plains I cover up" is probably the most legit response so far.

HELP! Who knows the lyrics from 2 min. 30 sec. (it sounds like: "Babe, God, you better not ever think" - "God" or "got"???) AND from 6 min. 10 sec. It sounds like:
Peace, love, joy
Hate, hell, war
Peace, love, joy
Hate, hell, war
Hate, love, love,
Love, live, love, hate...destruction!

Am I right???

Hey,

What do you think Devin says at 1:01-1:30.

There is a background speech and I can only hear "hundreds of" at 1:21.
