Howdy !

The OM album is one of my absolute favourite albums, and I'm really curious to find out if a live recording/bootleg exsists? Is there music, videos...ANYTHING exsisting or available related to this particular album besides the OM album itself ? Anything OM is of great interest to me !

Cheers

Ey, enda en nordmann jo! :D

Well, there's always the "Life" video, which can be found by clicking this link:
http://hevydevy.com/videos/files/ram/life.ram

Other than that there's some of the OM songs performed live on the Official Bootleg album... You'll probably find some stuff on youtube and similar sites... I can't think of any more right now, other people please fill in

I suppose this is vaguely related... I've got an MP3 of two acoustic songs (Hide Nowhere and LA) that Devin performed at an instore here in Melbourne in 1999... it's 10 megs though, so if anyone wants it, and knows some place where I can upload it, let me know. The quality isn't perfect, but it's listenable.

Also have some old bootleg audio cassettes of old Melbourne gigs although they're buried somewhere in my room. :-\

Don't forget the videos on the special editions of Terria (Seventh Wave, Hide Nowhere, Regulator; live in Japan) and Synchestra (Life, Regulator; live in the studio).

The official bootleg DVD contains that show in Japan (first some songs from Biomech and Infinity, a few more than those which are on the Terria-bonus-CD, then a few SYL-songs) and also the acoustic show in Vancouver from which the acoustic versions of "Sister", "Hide Nowhere" (bonus tracks on Infinity), "LA", "Colonial Boy", "Noisy Pink Bubbles", the famous "Raincoat" and some more are from (i´m too lazy to search for the complete tracklist atm).

The acoustic show alone is worth the money, i think. Sadly the sound is by far not as good as the two Infinity-bonustracks off that set. By the way, does anyone know, why they didn´t use the better sounding tapes for the DVD? Did they lost the recordings to the flood a few years ago?

They could've just ripped them from the OB CD and dubbed them. I might even do that when I get the DVD

Is the sound quality of the OB CD comparable to the two Infinity-bonustracks (don´t own the CD, only PAL-VHS and NTSC-DVD-R)?

From the top of my head (which is mostly a deserted place, as we all know), I'd say they are identical. Which means that the bonus tracks were taken straight from the OB CD, I guess.

Thanks, maybe i will try sometimes to dub the 4 tracks. But of course it would be much better to have the "good" audio for all acoustic tracks. I´m still praying that Dev records an acoustic record some day.

I have a feeling I somehow remember it was once said that CD and video are not the same versions. Different dates or something, not sure though.
