Vocals on Misery Signals - Of Malice and the Magnum Heart
Posted: Thu Jun 03, 2010 12:42 pmI just finished mixing a hardcore band and tried like a devil to try to emulate the vocals on Of Malice and the Magnum Heart.
My effect chain was as follows:
- saturator (cranked the input to get some colour and overdrive)
- eq (cut at around 200hz, and boosted some hi mids slightly, to ear)
- compression
then was sent to a effects bus:
- delay (tapped out the tempo)
- reverb
I'm just starting out and I got some pleasing results all the same but curious if anybody else attempted to get Devin's results from this album as well. If so, what did your effect chain look like?
