I would be surprised if the fans that take the time to come to the forum aren't also the ones with orders placed already for the real shiny platter - I've had my order in for a few days now for example.

I can't imagine folks on here not buying it to be honest - I reckon we all have a nice shelf of Dev, Strapping & DTB stuff already and it's aleways nice to add them a new friend !

Leaks DO suck - even if I grab them I have to admit that.

At the end of the day though it's the "not buying" bit that sucks hardest......

Huge tipoff. Sorry, Dev. I'll buy a t-shirt *and* a sticker. :)

Some of us have job's and lives. We go out and do stuff rather than sit on a goddamn message board.

Which is why you are sitting on our message board at the moment right? ;)

Let's stop this bickering. It accomplishes nothing.

Which essentially translates to: GUILTY.

Are you trying to say something here?

Looks like its leaked, and every other time a new album has leaked before the release date in the last year (except SYL and Opeth) I've downloaded it. This time I have absolutely no urge to do so. This album is going to be fantastic and with layering like Devin's music has I really dont want my first listen to be lesser mp3 quality.

Roll on January 27th! :D

I'm happy enough to wait. If Devin says he would like me to wait then I will wait. Simple as that.

A new Devin (DTB) album is a major event - don't get me worng, but my respect for the man over rides my desire to listen prior to the official release.

Well, Devin can kiss my ass! Mwahahahahaha! I'm downloading it! =) I think he may be worried about those who will download and then not buy. I'm not one of those guys. I want it all! Plus, Geoff is my French homey, so I am supporting him as well.

HE probably just want's everyone to experiance it at the same time. That way we all get brainwashed at once and it's easy to control us then. Otherwise the ones that listen now, might snap out of the it before the rest of us even get to be brain washed.

That's a great, and pretty funny, first post !

[makes note to self to get protective foil hat for when listening to album]

Tin foil is an inexpensive substitute.

You mean foil doesn't work ? Damn, then we're doomed !!

Actually, thinking about it, brainwashing us would be an expensive and pointless task - god knows we're pretty much there already !

There's already to much CDs I should buy and thanksfully a few bands I've just into recently, so I have time to wait (Mr Bungle, Asian Kung-Fu Generation).

For Alien I can't remember if I wanted to download it or not. All I remember is comming back home one evening and seeing my bro' screaming by the window "I've got Alien !", so...

And as Devin asked us not to download it, I'll try to respect the artist's wish^^ (well, if my bro' doesn't DL it).

Oh, and a radio in my area just played a song ^^
My bro' put on the radio, and comes to me screaming "come, there's a new Devy song on the radio !"
And yup', this was a new song :D I don't know which one, I've just heard half of it though, and as I just bought some new PC speaker (works pretty good) the sound of my crappy stereo was not that great, so I can't really have an opinion.

I'd rather not hear more, I want the damn thing from start to finish in perfect quality

You people should be ashamed of yourselves, downloading the new DTB album. *shakes head*

*quickly runs to the nearest bit torrent and starts download* :)
