Also, in my opinion, hearing the album before release wrecks the freshness of the songs on the finished product THUS lowering the enjoyment level of the songs as they'll be familiar. :?

im way too inpatient to wait for the new album but when it comes out i'll be first one at that shop with money in hand :flower: waiting to actually hear the songs properly as they were meant to be heard but untill then i shall be listening to every song on my cd player on the bus to college on the way home as i sleep and as i go to the toilet  and thats all i'll be doing just listenin to dev over an over and over and well you get the point! :D

and downloading isnt as bad as everyone makes it out to be everyone knows the cd is better but cds nowadays are just too damn expensive and thats not the artists fault or the consumer its the middle man taking all the money! with devin i buy all the cds and in some cases i've bought them twice but with other bands i would download because its just too expensive! its not because iam not respecting the artists wishes its because music executives are just vaginal discharge's !!!!

I know that buying CDs here in the UK is a rip off. Oh well, I’m sure this one is worth a wait. Really looking forward to the Synchestra album release. Don't give a fuck how much it casts... will sell some blood if i need to, yeah right!

I don't think the board needs the downloading argument to start in THIS thread, too...

I've downloaded the album but I'm finding myself quite bored right now, so I'll chip in with what I "would" have done to make the wait easier... For me its pretty simple. Just dig around for new bands that I havent heard. It's very possible to find 5 or so good ones a week and when you're finding that many good ones it takes your mind off anticipated albums (or anything, for that matter).... which in this case would be Synchestra

Indeed, The other day I saw Biomechanical - The Empire of The Worlds in HMV for £16.99 !?!
That evening I checked out Earache Records website and the same album was on sale for £9 including postage!?!

Crazy difference!

Out of curiosity, I just checked what amazon.co.uk charges you for recently released metal albums... about £9-10 is less than €15, that's hardly a rip-off.
