I was thinking something off of the Ass-Sordid Demos myself. I hope so, anyway, cause several of those songs rock my cock.

You nailed it, Noodles. Good work.

Re-recordings of the Ass-Sordid Demos?

Ocean Machines would be killer (without thinking about if it would fit into the album's context or not)

Sit in the mountain is one of my all time fave Devy tracks. I love that song.

I think it sounds good as it is as with a lot of the infinity sessions recordings but any re-recording with the DTB guys would be interesting.

Great updates by the way, keep them coming. Pics too soon!

Do we know a rough release date for this album?
Early next year or something?

Ok, then I guess this limits it to something that has either been played live or released in demo form....hmm!!!

Well if some of us have heard it before... then I'm guessing Raincoat. I mean if you said most I'd lean towards an Ass-sordid track. But SOME implies a small subsection of the Dev fanbase.

p.s. Oh and Brian... don't worry. If I'm this analytical in person when you pass through on tour, I'll be sharing the provocation of said analysis.

I think those that have heard the Ass Sordid discs and watched the Official Bootleg are both in a minority.

So, I'm buggered if I know.

Yeah, I gotta think that there's still lots of Devy fans that never bought the Demos albums. Heck, I don't even have II.

What's that "Raincoat" thingy?

I don't think he would re-do "Om" or "Sit in the Mountain" but by all means he can go and prove me wrong... I just don't think they would fit into a new concept very easily.

Its a slightly silly accoustic song which you can only get on the Official Bootleg video (not the CD). Its quite mad.

I don't think it would be that, then. Dev's consistently described this album as "beautiful."

I agree - and although they were labeled "demos", they didn't sound at all as such. Not just considering their phantastic production, but also the songwriting... But we all know the story behind it by now, so it's possible, but I don't think so, especially since they were part of a huge... can you say concept? All I can say is that I'd love to hear Sit in the mountain live one day...

I stick to Ocean Machines. Not really because I believe it, it's just my hope.
