Myself I don't like Synchestra that much, prefer AE.

AE is still Dev's best vocal performance by far.

Synchestra is amazing.

I like cheese.

Devin rules.

I would say Synchestra is on the podium of my faves next to OM and Terria.

I actually think City was Dev's best vocal performance (holy crap those screams!), followed closely by Terria

I'd be torn between AE and Synchestra on the vocal performance...but Terria's always the one that touches me most

I think Devin uses his voice more in AE.
Sometimes I listen to AE just because of those incredible vocal parts. The ending in Storm.. Deadhead.. brilliance.
And the heavy guitar sound. That's what I like about AE.

Hey, at 4:31 Suicide resembles a simple lullaby at 3:48, I think.
It's not the same melody or riff but still.

As for Dev's best vocals, would anyone have Sex and Religion near the top? I like the vocal styles on Infinity a great deal. They're probably my favorite, though I don't know if that makes them "best" - know what I mean, meng?

Just joking on the "meng" Erm. Sorry.

Holy Trinity? Haha. You got a really pretentious, cork sniffer view on music hey? I was in kinda that headspace at a point in my life.

Gee, that wasn't condescending.

You know, I think it's just a "term" rather than a belief-system to call them the Holy Trinity. Oh, and as a Catholic, I think it's funny, too. Those three are generally considered the benchmarks for Devin's music, I think.

And, personally, I think Synchestra can totally sit in the same room and drink tea with the Holy Trinity. You're telling me Pixilate and Gaia don't hold their own with Bastard, Truth, or Nobody's Here?

I would \o/!
Amazing vocals. Just listen to "In my dreams with you", "Touching tongues", "Still my bleeding heart" etc..
damn they're amazing.
He had a little bit different voice back then.
Has there ever been a time when Devin did NOT know how to sing? He was 19 and sounded like a professional.
