I'm interested to see what people have to say about this track. It may be the opener, but it's definitely one of my favourite tracks. Dev's voice is just gorgeous on that track, and when it gets into it near the end I get such a chill I feel as though I should've exploded by then.

"Come what may, anyway
I was born not to follow
There are times, many times
When my pride I must swallow..."

That always makes me shiver.

Not to be cheesy, but the two times I've worn my DTB tour shirt with "Let IT ROll" on the back when bowling in my league, I've bowled my best games.

Oh, and I was listening to Dev on my MP3 player at the time, too...that may have helped.

My dad, strangely enough heard the track, and said there's some sort of Celtic folk song which sounds almost exactly the same. The vocal melody is identical. His words, not mine. Anyone else know about this? There's some Scottish people on this forum...

Yes, it definately sounds familiar to me. I can't think what it sounds most like though. I will surely say if I think of anything.

My girlfriend said the same thing. She told me a song her Nan used to sing to her when she was younger is almost identical to it. If we figure out artist or song name or whatever I'll put it up here...

(Celtic refers to the Ireland-ish peoples and those from the Isle Of Man too, by the way)

Wild Mountain Thyme (Will ye go, lassie, go)

Will ye go lassie go

Oh the Summer time is coming
And the trees are sweetly blooming
And the wild mountain thyme
All around the blooming heather
Will ye go lassie go........
And we'll al lgo together
To pull wild mountain thyme
From around the blooming heather
Will ye go lassie go
.
I will build my love a bower
Near yon pure crystal fountain
And on it I will pile
All the flowers of the mountain
Will ye go lassie go............
And we'll all go together
To pull wild mountain thyme
From around the blooming heather
Will ye go lassie go
.
If my true love she were gone
I will surely find no other
Where wild mountain thyme
All around the blooming heather
Will ye go lassie go...........
And we'll all go together
To pull wild mountain thyme
From around the blooming heather
Will ye go lassie go

Sounds a little...familiar. But I think that it's cool.

whoa that is cool

I think i remember a quote from keith richards something like "there is only one song, and adam and eve probably sung it, everything else is just a variation of it"
