Stagnant and Deep Peace for real!

I forgot about Stagnant. I still prefer Away, but only slightly, the way that Stagnant solo just fits in so well with the total emotion of the song is just plain awesome. Another GREAT solo, but then again, most Devin solos are. I also like the piano solo in Bad Devil (unless they pulled a King Crimson and just used piano effect on the guitar, but then again, I still like it, but it's a guitar solo instead).

Other than that, Infinity will knock you sideways! Possibly the most inaccessible, bizarre, complex and stunning piece of music ever created. You'll love it! Eventually, heh.

More importantly you're right, that is a tremendous solo - not so much because of technical ability but simply creating the perfect atmosphere for the track etc etc. Anyway, brilliant!

Also anything EVH does, including the solo in Michael Jackson's Beat It which is incredible. And Steve Vai 'Rescue Me or Bury Me'.

As for Dev, he's not really a solo-er anyway but yeah, Deep Peace where he gets all progressive is quite tasty
