can you buy the tele like devs?

I didn't see any telecaster model at peavey, so it must be a special custom model

If you have money, i'm sure you can buy it ....
oh man, waiting for this thing has been 1.5 years of torture, and many kickass guitar options not seized upon to keep money for this one.
no pressure, Peavey team. but this thing better be flawless

*sigh* Still no official word. I sold both of my guitars in anticipation, so now I just have my little travel guitar to play on. I mean, it sounds great and all, but I need a real guitar again soon. lol

i so totally and completely feel your pain.
the peavey.com site does have a "featured artist" page on devin up now-- it's the same one that was up long ago, but maybe now that it's up again means something else will be following soon.

Yeah, the page has been rotating for a while with some other artists. The page is waaaaay outdated, though. They pull their info from the HevyDevy site, which as far as Dev's biography goes, is out of date. It goes up to the recording of 'Ki.' lol
Man, I would have thought that we would have had some new information by now. I wonder how the process is going.
I keep having bad dreams that they got cold feet and won't release it. Or they'll release it but it'll be way more expensive than we all thought. Killin' me Peavey!
yeah, i think everyone i know who has been interested in this is now just assuming there's something wrong, production run failure, quality assurance issues, or something like that. you can't really announce a product and say it's due out at a certain date, and then not give any updates about it for over a year past that date, and not end up losing swaths of potential buyers.
recent posts from the marketing manager (or whatever the title) saying: "Keep checking the site for some exciting information!" and then having weeks pass with *still* no information is just bad practice.

Bad practice indeed, but I will just wait patiently as I have been for the past year or so and hope that I will be doing the "guitar arrived at my door step happy dance" soon.

According to someone over at the sevenstring forums, Peavey said they'd be shipping in a few weeks. The problem was supposedly that the Devin sigs were intially going to be made in the US, but since then they've allocated their entire US facility to producing their Composite Acoustics line and they are building a new facility for Cirrus basses and other electrics. So as a result they had to move production for the Devin models to an offshore facility.
Again, this is from someone else on another forum who said they contacted a Peavey rep, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens when they finally start shipping. I'm mostly concerned about the implications for quality and pricing due to moving production offshore than anything else.
I have a feeling that it is going to be a very limited run. The lack of hype from Peavey is very telling.
