Ok, so the Royal Albert Hall gig has the request thing going on and unsurprisingly Bastard is one of the most requested songs.

That really got me thinking again, why didn't Devin ever perform it live before? (as far as I can tell)

Any Devin fan I know thinks it's a great song, many think it's even one of his best. Could Devin himself not like it for some reason?

I remember reading once something about it being in a different tuning to rest of the stuff, but that doesn't make much sense as an explanation to me. He's switched between different tunings before.

Did anyone ask about this during the AMAs? On Twitter? I haven't seen it if it has been answered anyway.

I doubt it, Planet of the Apes is even longer and that was in their setlist for quite a long time.
