I don't want to get free stuff, i want to pay for Dev's cds/dvds and stuff!

But what is really nice and motivating is to get some "exclusive" information from Dev on this forum which i can post on other forums (social networks, wikipedia) - just like it happened in the last weeks. For example it's a great reward for me to see other people quoting somewhere what i wrote on the german wikipedia-article (which i could because i'm on this forum and most people are not).

I encourage Dev to put a complete box set together with improved level and sample rate (on DVD for example) of all the SYL and his independent work / DTB upto Synchestra and Hummer. Call that Lifetime 1 and 1.5. Then starting with Ziltoid a new box set called Lifetime 2 which can be filled with new releases as they come available. I'd ask for the box set for Axe-mas personally.

Thats...quite a bit of work my friend...He still has to record 3 more albums this year alone. Remixing all of those albums in 5.1 surround or completely lossless would be an incredibly daunting task in and of itself...

To be fair, I'd be more than willing to promote Dev's work regardless if free/exclusive stuff is involved or not.

PDF's of the logos/images used in the existing promo/artwork would be beneficial for those of us who are photoshop inclined so we can work on it ourselves if need be.

Devins done more than enough to warrant us to give something back. Simply by creating, interacting and showing an interest in his fans is inspiration enough for me.

As Leechmaster mentiones in his mah-usive rant:

(For explanation, see massive rant on previous page. ) Street team idea and all that is a good one, but I just couldn't see it working to the degree people would want it to work. And I'm willing to bet loads of people will only want to do it for some reward and half-ass the whole thing, thus wasting time and money Devin hardly has to waste.. In addition to this, i added everyone on my facebook to the group, i rant about Devin to everybody i meet, and i wear my Devin face shirt (or strapping young lad shirt) to every show i go to. I'll do my best to pass out flyers too. I only wish that i'd get a chance to see Dev if he tours. Living in Lexington SC sucks. No good bands ever come here. haha

I have to agree with Leechmaster.
While I love the spirit of the Street Team it's effectiveness is difficult to measure accurately, whereas internet sites give you at least some numbers to draw from and have, at times, proven hugely successful.

I say make up some flyers and let people do as they wish with them and focus your attention on putting the project together. A few well placed online promotional pieces, be they little studio docs, webisodes or online gigs should plant the seed nicely. From which Ki et al will blossom. There's plenty of us that'll happilly promote your material past, present and future. And your music will, as always, speak for itself.

i will spread the word regardless. i am up and down the northern east coast usa all the time, i will put up my share of anything at every opportunity. i go to plenty of shows from Virginia to Boston. id be honored to help. glad to see you back dev . and glad to see enthusiasm from true fans.
