Ki is an extraordinary album, one that in some ways changed my life.

Havin' been a metal-head for some years, I always knew about Devin Townsend and his works, but for some reason I never sat down and listened to what his music had to say.

Then, by accident, in 2009 I heard Lady Helen somewhere, maybe on YouTube or something, and I thought to myself; "This I've got to check out!". So, I "stole" the album of the web, and as if something from above told me to, I uploaded the album into iTunes, turned off the lights and the computer screen, pressed play and just lay in my bed.

I don't think I'll ever fully understand what happened to me then, I wasn't asleep, I wasn't awake ... the music just raised me to a higher place (N.B. never been a religious person).

It's definitely one of the albums that I will hold close to the chest until I lose my hearing ...

Ki completely changed the way I look at music. One of my favourite albums, ever.
