Fantastic show!

Obscura was pretty solid, didn't care for them too much but they were pretty good.

Septic Flesh was pretty fuckin' intense and I really enjoyed them, I think I'll listen to some of their stuff a little more. Although towards the end of their set the fire alarm went off and screwed them up, and to the dismay of the audience, they were unfortunately out of time.

And of course Devin was spot on. Fantastic performance, I was blown away. This being my first Devy show, it was one of the best shows I've been too. The only problem was that the mix was a little off, the vocals were a little lost under the instruments but it wasn't a huge problem. And of course after the set, Dev came out to sign things..........

............AND I WAS FIRST IN LINE!!!!
That's the benefit of keeping your ears open. I couldn't even say a full sentence, I was in shock.
Even though I didn't get to actually say anything because security was kind of intimidating me and the fact that I was in awe, he was of course a very cool dude. I've always had this thing about sensing a person's vibe and he had an extremely welcoming vibe. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him again! Had him sign Ghost for me.





I didn't really stick around for CoB, after I met Dev I went and checked on them. They were just starting so I was able to catch their first two songs and they weren't too bad, don't really care for them but they were good.

after about a 4 1/2 bus ride from Boston to NY the energy I had in me for this show was absolutely huge. The show was fantastic, it was my third time seeing Devin and he fucking destroyed. Obscura and Septic Flesh were awesome, it really sucked that they had to cut Septic's set short, will surely catch them next time they come around. The crowd for Devin was pretty positive (except for the one moron who threw a bottle, and one guy who yelled "you suck", it's a shame that Devin has to put up with such assholes, atleast if you don't like the band don't say anything, i'm a musician so i really get pissed knowing how much work is put into performing live as an opening act, then add to it the shenanigans of a few ignorant assholes really sucks). After the show I had the privilege to meet Devin, it was one of the greatest moments in my life, and as expected Devin was one of the most amazing, down to earth individuals I've ever met. Only stuck around to hear "Needled 24/7" for it's the only song of Bodom's I wanted to hear, I've seen them three times prior to last night. It was a great night indeed, and hope to see Devin headline when he comes around "in a couple of months" hopefully he comes to MA, but hey after last nights show i'm willing to travel any distance to see him again \m/
