Did you see the Devin Townsend Project set at The Garage in Glasgow?

Please post your reviews, setlists, photos and video links here!

Thanks!

Oh, why yes I did!

What a show...! They played very well and sounded absolutely huge for such a small(ish) venue. There were projections throughout which ranged from totally amazing to a bit random. Lots of Ziltoid too! He seemed to be doing the DJ set before the band came onstage but I couldnt quite hear what he was saying. They did play ABBA, Venga Boys and some other dubious dance classics.

Songs that were in the setlist but I cant mind the order or everything:

Addicted
Numbered
Life
By Your Command
The Greys
Kingdom
Truth
OM
Earth Day
Deadhead
Deep Peace
Bend it like Bender (with people on stage....including Amber?!??!)

What else?!

Devin was doing a DJ set at 1200-0100 but sadly I had to leave. Did anyone stay for that? Gutted I couldnt go...would have taken the day off work if I had known.

Woop!

Edit: I meant Kingdom, not Namaste! My brain was molten so that is my excuse.

It was a fantastic gig, everything I could have hoped for. The 'clinic' (mindless, funny banter mainly!) at guitarguitar was awesome as well. Lots of pictures on my girlfriend's camera which I'll post up as soon as possible, but in the meantime here's a shite picture of a picture of me and Devin at guitarguitar. Woop woop

I think this was the setlist, order might be a bit off. There was a Ki-style jam in there too at the end of the main set or first encore but no actual songs off Ki.

The Glasgow gig was absolutely stunning - By Your Command with Ziltoid on the video screens was a work of genius.

Bend it like Bender was a perfect ending and I couldn't fault a single thing about the gig. Devin seemed to be having a superb time and his sense of fun really came across.

Come back to Glasgow really soon - please! :P

I made it to the event on my own.. bit of a last minute decision as I was kinda ill. Yes, Amber was up on stage and I met her for a few minutes after the show. I couldn't stay for the dj set either :(

Mostly I hung out by the toilets. Honest it was only so I could stand on the steps and have a chance to actually see anything.

So if any of you trooped to the loo past a short, ancient looking woman in a white t-shirt that was me.

This is all very random...we were on the balcony and I noticed somebody standing there a few times. I was thinking that it was a strange place to stand (smelly loos?) but then I hadnt realised it was a bit higher. It was you!

I should have been more organised and said hi to everyone!

I looked up at the balcony often to see if I could see anyone but it was usually too dark! And actually no, those were the un-smelliest loos I've ever been close to! Also - WIN - there was an awesome cool draught blowing out of them so while everyone else was cooking in the room I was quite comfy there.

Did you head up front-ish for any length of time, Keeker? Think I might have been boogying next to you at some point near the end of the set!
