I've seen over 300 different bands play live over the past 6 years, and I've never seen a person (or a band) have so much fun playing on stage before (maybe only Dio).
This was without a doubt one of the best concerts ever. I'm not kidding, it was really that good.
It was the first time I got to go to the concert, and I risked my life doing so. I got diagnosed with a rare form for leukemia about two years ago.
The doctors told me I had maybe two or three weeks left to live. Ironically enough I survived all that shit.
I got a bone marrow transplantation and I'm now on a lot of different pills and immunosuppresants. My new marrow hates me, it's slowly killing me. I'm in constant pain. All my muscles, joints and bones ache. My liver is failing. My bowels are constant infected. I've lost my vision on my right eye and I can't produce tears or saliva any longer.
The doctors told me that it would be very dangerous for me to travel to the other side of the country when I'm in a so bad condition, but I ignored them. I've waited for over 13 years to watch Devin play live. It was totally worth it.
Luckily enough I got to meet him after the concert. Too bad I got a little nervous (even though I've met a lot of very known musicians through the years). I had made Devin a hand made card which I wanted to give him. I just wanted to thank him for helping me through the really hard and though times at the hospital. His music was a big life saver. I also wrote that I wanted to thank him for inspiring and helping so many other fans out there too. But fuck, I managed to forget that damn card back home in Bergen.![]()
Anyway I told that I've just survived leukemia. Dev told me to take care of myself and then he gave me a hug. I was almost in tears (if I only could cry).
Thanks again, Devin. You really helped me out back there and my mood and spirit have really risen.

Luckily enough I got to meet him after the concert, and yeah I got a little nervous (even though he was a really nice and caring guy).

I really hope you'll return to Norway again soon. I'll be there for sure with the card I made.
