Just like Odysseas, I was there early. I can even say i was the first, and i even heard the soundcheck of By Your Command

The few people who were there so early noticed Odysseas immediately because of the loud 'Hi Guys!'

We talked a little, and it was awsome to talk to someone who loves Devin as much as me, and he even took a picture of me and Dev because i didn't have a camera, so thx again Odysseas!
It was a dream come true to meet my greatest hero who changed my life perminently, he's such a nice guy, always willing to chat with fans, take pictures with them and sign like everything they present them. As Od. already said he was sick and was injured, and i felt bad for him because you could see he was afraid he wasn't about to play a good show because of it. But anyway, he was as funny as always and felt in love with the Ziltoid-hat from Od.
About the shows now. The venue was indeed verry small, but it was jam-packed with huge Dev-fans, so nobody really cared, because wherever you were, you were close to Dev

I was verry suprised by Aeon Zen! The vocals blew me away, as wel the main as the backings. They fit wel together and you could notice they put a lot of work in it. The vocalist was by the way a verry cool guy, and he made me laugh quite a few times. The audience wasn't enthousiastic enough, because the lot of it were just waiting for Devin, but i can't blame them

Then it was time for Devin Townsend, the one everybody was longing to see. After a hilarious ziltoid-speech the crowd wen't wild, because the man himself came on stage, greeting everybody he could reach. Then, they played. They played and blew everybody away. The whole audience was belowing the words together with Devin. It was so much fun and so well played, it seemed he was taking me to his omniverse

He didn't left the stage for a minute, even during the 'short break'.
Only this one thing happened to me wich almost made me cry. He was playing Deep Peace, and he was looking at me. I tried to express al the feeling i had on that moment, the happines, the graditude... I think he saw it, because he reached his hand to me. Happy like a little girl i gave him a hand, but i didn't notice he was holding a guitar pick he wanted to give me. I didn't know, so i released my hand, dropping the pic. And the guy next to me saw it and immediately took it. That was a sad moment, but it was the gesture that mattered

Anyway, the part where i was on stage during Bend It Like A Bender made me forget all about it, and i was dancing like a fool

After the concert i went to him and i said thank you with all my heart, and said it was an honour to meet him. He said it meant a lot to him, and i left the place as the happiest person on earth. I will never forget this evening, and the signed ticket is already hanging above my bed

It was well worth the night in the trainstation :p
Thank you Devin, for doing all these things for me without you knowing, thank you thank you thank you. You helped me through a difficult fase, and conviced me to continue to play music. I hope one day we can jam together!!
Wow man i just wrote a whole book :p
See ya guys, greg
