Ah, the great show at the Falcon where they cut the power during AAA? Brilliant gig!!
Anyways...
Last night was incredible. I saw the Southampton show too and this one had much much better sound, could actually here Devin talking this time! Why is his guitar soooooo quiet in the mix always though??
The setlist was much better, a broader spectrum of work. All the hits you might say! The atmosphere wasnt quite as good as Southampton from a crowd point of view but then again this place was a LOT more packed so less movement available!
Performance wise, was flawless. The band seemed to be really into it, the quips and comedy were top form and I finally got to see him play Earth Day which was monstrously good.
Im a happy man. Devin is a rare breed: a man of incredible talent, writes greats songs and is one of the most charismatic performers in the business. A true star yet humble enough that you'd just want to buy the man a drink and say hello without feeling like an ass.
These shows have definately been a huge step forward for him in terms of profile and building an even bigger fanbase, a real triumph. Continue spreading the word, as trust me, next time he tours the venues will be bigger
