Yep, it was utterly amazing, standing front row all evening. Aeon Zen were alright, if not a lot of fun to watch, due to their overly energetic vocalist. As well as the two guys in the lion and cow suits dancing onstage (which I presume to be Ryan and Dev). Also, the death growls their bassist pulled off in the last song were impressive. Entertaining.

Ziltoid radio was excellent. I saw some very confused metalheads and some very happy people dancing around. I really need to see the Ziltoid clip to 'We Like To Party' (Vengaboys) again, as I was laughing my head off at Ziltoid's dance moves. Hap-penis indeed.
Then the DTP itself. If I compare it to the last time I saw them in Eindhoven (last year) the sound quality has massively improved. Earplugs weren't needed much, even though I was standing right in the path of one of the PA speakers. I could actually hear Dev shout over the music even though he wasn't in front of a mic. Very impressed with that.
Anneke's presence also added an extra fun-factor and it was interesting to hear her sing a few parts on non-Addicted tracks as well. I'm not sure it works well on every track, but for example the high parts in the Kingdom choruses sound really nice with her singing along. The whole band was playing very tight, apart from Dev at the start of Addicted where he skipped a small part of the intro, owned up to it immediately ("we're three chords in and I'm already fucking this up!"), and never missed a note again.

Special mention to RVP, I couldn't believe some of the things he was doing, adding in alternate and extra fills to almost every song. I was dead impressed, and he noticed because before the final encore (Bender) he came over to me and handed me one of his sticks.
Fortunately I could thank him immediately afterwards because I was also up onstage dancing to Bender with a whole bunch of people. And two guys from Aeon Zen (one of them being the vocalist) in the aforementioned lion and cow suits. At the end Devin helped every single person get down from the stage safely, with "thank you"'s flying back and forth. Devin didn't even leave, instead he got down from stage and had a brief chat and photo op with whomever was interested. Of which I was one.

Said he knew my username from the forum when that came up, and then offered him one of our CDs. Perhaps there's a fraction of enjoyment on there for him (vs the huge enjoyment I get from his music); it's just nice to give something back.

Anyway, passing several other details of the night, that's when I left. Had a brief look if there were some people around the tour bus but no luck there (would've been nice to have a slightly longer conversation with Ryan, but you can't have it all, hehe). All in all, I'm pretty sure this was one of the most fun concerts I've ever attended. Thank you Dev, Ryan, Dave, Beav and Anneke for a night I won't soon forget!
