What can I say? Another great show from Dev! The only problem I noticed is a feedback issue with his guitar, which he pointed out in the middle of a song (one of the random Kingdom interludes?) but I didn't even notice after a while. Devin seemed to have a good time singling people out, asking how they were or pointing out how if they had the "crossed arms" look, that this next song was for them (I couldn't see if he was legitimately pointing out such people or just teasing at random, but the former wouldn't surprise me). Great performance, great humor, and just infectious positivity! And... lots of Devy nipple rubbing.

Setlist looks about right to me. Great fun. Also comments about boners in sweatpants and being a Canadian nerd. Awesome.

My wife and I went to the meet-and-greet at Sound Check (record store) that afternoon with our daughter. Very nice guy, we talked about our kids (as we have little ones very close in age) and family. Good times.

Aside from the audio issues (the vocals REALLY should have been a little louder and there seemed to be some wierd clipping on the guitar with low notes) this was a badass show. Unfortunately, I ended up missing the end of Juular, due to getting knocked the fuck out by someone in the pit (accident, I'm sure, luckily I seem to be intact), but everything up to that point was awesome.

"You look unimpressed, this one's for you!"

Also went to the Soundcheck meet 'n' greet, good times, got a fucking amazing picture with the three people I brought with me and Dev. I drove all the way from Las Vegas to see the show and go to the meet, and it was well worth it.

BTW Dev, if you DID release the "beach songs" I know I wouldn't be able to stay away, so you'd have at least one guaranteed purchase, but I guess you gotta be able to stand behind whatever you put out. Kinda wanna hear it though, sounds interesting...

Oh sweet, you were at Sound Check too? I was the one with the little four-year-old. Chatted with Dev about kids and how we met our wives. Got wrapped up, almost forgot to grab my posters and CDs that he had signed. Nice guy.

And Dev: I made a joke about whether I would have a good night being dependent on you as we were leaving: expectations exceeded, of course. Thanks!
