Dev was awesome! How the heck is he opening for those other amateurs? Dev taught those younglings how to play! I hope they were freaking honored to have a musician of Devin's status "opening" for them. Glad I got to shake his hand after the show. Setlist was Disruptor, Supercrush, Kingdom, Truth, OM, By Your Command.

Lurker here, the show was amazing. My first time seeing Dev live and hopefully not the last.
Heard about half of Scale the Summit's set, they sounded pretty good. My second time seeing Cynic and once again they sounded amazing
(although I was disappointed by the crowd reaction during their set as they were given a lukewarm response...) BTBAM was alright - moments of greatness and other times that just didn't click for me - but all in all i'm glad I stuck around for most of their set...
As for Devin he was by far the highlight of the show. The band sounded great and Dev seemed on top of his game. My only complaint is that the set was too short! I was blown away and left wanting MORE!! Kingdom and By Your Command were my highlights but the whole set was fantastic. Maybe i'm getting old but my neck is still sore! All in all seeing Devin was an truly an awesome experience and I can't wait for the next go around.

Oh and big thanks to Jack8the8Ripper for posting the vids. It was very cool to relive the experience and see alot of the stuff I missed while rocking out :amen:

Another long time lurker here, but I was at this show and I decided to finally become a non-lurker and post something!

This show was absolutely amazing! Devin's performance here was probably one of the best I have ever seen. I love his humor and stage presence!

As for his performance, it was spot on! I just wish it was a little longer, it seemed like Cynic played forever and thats ok I love Cynic, but the mail selling point of this show was finally being able to see Dev.

I found this online, don't know who taped the show, but I wish they would put it on Youtube so I could grab the videos. I was standing around the same area as the guy taping the show and I didn't even realize he was doing it.... I was too focused on the music! It's great re-listening to this concert - I love when he sings Anneke's parts on Supercrush!

The other bands were all amazing too, this was my third time seeing BTBAM play (seen them twice at the Chameleon club in Lancaster, PA when I was going to college in the city) and as always they were note-for-note with their albums. Cynic was awesome too, even got to do some Yoga...too bad my girlfriend tried to get me to do more Yoga after we got back from the concert because I said my back hurt!

All in all, it was so worth the almost 3 hour drive to this concert!

edit: just noticed the whole show was linked earlier in the thread... oops!

I was there ... the DTP set was very well executed, tight and without wasted time. The 30/45 minutes of the set went very quickly and left me wanting more! :D

That said, the biggest disappointment of the night [for me] was the sound. It was an aweful confused mess. Everything was way too loud with the PA distorting at times. I don't know if it was a tour-appointed sound guy or the standard Sonar sound guy but that dude's ears are fried!

I am in great expectations for another DTP show ASAP and dearly hope for a better sound ... 'cause honestly that was crap.

BTW - I think I saw Jed Simon in the crowd?

Scale the Summit is exactly as the name states, scales, and lots of them. It can get boring pretty quick. They weren't all that bad, just boring.

Now on to Devin, I have no critiques, he was perfect. The vocals were absolutely amazing. I had a lot of fun singing along to Supercrush! Seriously, everything was spot on!

I also got the chance to meet up with Devin outside, after his set. I'm glad that hes such a down to earth guy. Me and my buddy caught him right after his set, on his way to his bus and he stopped short to talk with us for a minute.

Tell me why Devin is so awesome.

No re-entry for those under 21, so after me and my buddy left to meet up with Devin, we missed Cynic and Between The Buried And Me. We didn't miss much. :D

You missed nothing. The only reason why I stayed for them was that I wasn't finished getting shitfaced. It was the only way those other acts were even tolerable. Glad I puked at home after the show or I feel I would have wasted my time with those other acts. Too bad Dev didn't come on stage during the other acts and take their instruments. He could have taught them how to play music that is actually listenable. BTW, why the f*** would I want to do yoga during a concert? If I wanted to do yoga, I would jump off a 10 story building and hope I landed in a difficult pose. :dead:
