I just got back home from seeing Devin and Co. perform tonight and it was one amazing show. The band were all in fantastic moods and Devin was really into form tonight. Wacky happenings occurred from Devin telling an ad-libbed story about taking a shit in CVS to actually farting into the microphone at one point. Needless to say, the show owned!

As far as the set list, this is what DTP played:

Addicted!
Supercrush!
Kingdom
Deadhead
Truth
Om
By Your Command
Life
Pixillate
Bad Devil
------------
Color Your World
The Greys
Deep Peace

I took many, many pictures from the show and will try to get them posted ASAP. Got to spend about 20-25 minutes after the show talking with Devin and he was in a really funny mood, cracking jokes about Nickelback and product ideas (the Nut-Quacker has to be the most incredible idea ever conceived along with Sharts!) among other things. Managed to grab a copy of the set list after the show from Beavis and asked Devin to "sign the fuck out of it" and to which he did, signing his name about a dozen times all across the sheet...it was absolutely priceless!

The show at Jaxx was outstanding! The whole band including Dev really seemed to be enjoying themselves and the crowd really appreciated it. I had a smile on my face for about 99% of the set. It was just a really good vibe and really fun. I was completely drenched in sweat by the end of it but it didn’t keep me from moving about and having a really awesome time. I didn’t get to take any pics unfortunately but I’m sure some will be posted. The Greys and Bad Devil were the highlights for me, but it’s hard to choose because they all sounded great.

I took video of the Whole Acoustic show, I'll be posting it on youtube soon ( www.youtube.com/claptonandslash )
The songs were
1. Coast
2. Terminal
3. Sister
4. Ih-Ah!
5. Ki

Overall it was awesome. (we had to beg him to play Ki so i'm not sure if he is gonna play it for all of them!)

Also, There was no need for 4 fucking warm-up bands, They were good but i was deaf in my right ear when Dev came up cause i was litertaly leaning up against the Giant Speakers. But 7+ hours in the car and 2.5 hours waiting the get in was so worth it. I'll see you next year Dev!
(p.s. I'll buy the sharts)

I remembered to bring ear plugs and it was definitely worth it.

And yes, there were 4 opening acts. I wasn't there for the start of the first but the 2nd was called 'exist' or something. They were the only opening act I somewhat enjoyed. I fucking can't stand these new metal acts that do the breakdown beats/syncopated 1 note off-time riffs...every effing song...so much for creativity.

This was an amazing show. There were two local bands, Tetryl and Exist. Tetryl is my friends band, so I've got some bias, but I really like them. Then there was Exist and they were some pretty jammy prog metal. Then Tesseract was the surprise of the night and I really dug them. Some of their fans were a little over-aggressive, pushy and rude, but that's not indicative of the band. Then Periphery came up and they were alright.

But then of course Dev took the stage. Highlights of the night were him playing Life, a story he told about a dump he took at a CVS across the street, him jumping into the crowd during Bad Devil, and him telling everyone to be quiet, then farting into the mic. This isn't the first time I've seen Dev, but it surely won't be the last .

And a few from after the show:

Devin was really amused by that guy's tiny pen and got a good joke out of it as you can see in the next pic...

And here is Devin "signing the fuck" out of the set list I got from Beavis after the show...

And a close up shot of the autographed set list...
