hey Jasper, the vinyl copies of Ocean Machine released this year via InsideOut/Century Media have edited the artwork to remove Biomech from the title of the album. was this a label decision? straight from Dev? are the CDs being repressed without it too? such a curious time to change it now.

I was wondering about this too. There are Japanese prints without 'Devin Townsend' from years ago. I think what happened was Devin had 'Ocean Machine' as a band name and the album was called 'Biomech'. Since then the album is considered a solo album of Devin's and the album seems more identifiable as 'Ocean Machine' rather than 'Biomech' - which now seems to act as a subtitle. Given the amount of space 'Devin Townsend' and 'Ocean Machine' are taken up on the cover which always looked out of balance with the head image imo, I'd say it was dropped.
