I would highly suggest any fan of death metal, melodic death metal or thrash metal check out Arsis's A Diamond for Disease EP... I can't emphasize enough howawesome the song is.

To each their own. Personally, I love tech music, and they're one of my favorite bands. It kinda combines death metal, hardcore, and tech with prog and good, strong instrumentals.

Yeah, I just got into them. Good stuff. Some of the clean singing reminds me a bit of Serj Tankian's singing style, and I can see definte influences from bands like Opeth, yet they maintain originality.

Yea, his german accent is overdone in a few points on the clean vocals... takes a while to get used to :P.

I would also suggest Scarve - Irradiant, Dirk Veurberen (SP? he also did Soilwork's new album) is simply an insane drummer
