That album blew me away. I had no idea Zakk had that in him. I love that album. I hate BLS.

I used to love BLS, and still like them quite a bit but don't find myself listening to them much. Love the Hangover Music album.

But to the OP, speaking of Brent Hinds, one of his solo projects West End Motel has some blues elements. It could more metally I guess but it's kinda under the definition of what you're looking for.

I know exactly how you feel. Need to get a guitar and learn how to play it if you ever want to hear "that music".
