Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

Thin Lizzy touring without Phil is a #bit# like SYL touring without Dev.

No albums since Phil died.

Wow, you got to see Thin Lizzy when Phil Lynott was still alive? Cool. 1978, I presume because the 1980 tour was the Snowy White/Midge Ure lineup and utter pants.

SYL
Praxis
Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains
Pink Floyd
Type O Negative
Death
Mr. Bungle
Estradasphere
Pantera (even though I can't really listen to them anymore, they were a HUGE part of music for me)
Naked City

I LOVE Faith No More. They're one of my favorite bands, but they're back together again, so I'm not counting them. Same goes for System of a Down.

Yeah but the FNM guys are saying that there's no new music coming and that their reunion shows were just kind of a one off.

I guess they take Mr. Bungle's place on my list!

I can't think of a cleverer answer this morning, so I'll just say I wish! A few years too young.

Nonetheless I can't imagine going to see Thin Lizzy minus Phil. Much as I wouldn't be interested in seeing Queen without Freddie, despite the enormous legacy and talent of the other members of that band in particular.

i'll try this...

Joy Division (only 2 albums. it wasn't enough)
Big Black (only 2 albums, and they broke up because they were getting too popular. haha. ugh)
Fugazi
The Rolling Stones
Pavement
NIN (I'm not sure this one matters. It was all just Reznor anyway. he'll put out more stuff)
The Smiths
The Jam
Pulp
The Jesus Lizard... maybe?

I want to say FNM but really I didn't like anything as much as I liked Angel Dust and can't see myself caring too much if they put out another album.

SYL
Pantera
Bathory
Celtic Frost (but we have Triptykon now, so)
Led Zeppelin
Faith No More
Queen

That's all, but I still love to listen.
Edit: and Emperor, how the hell did I forget them?

they're not defunct, are they? i thought they were still touring. they'd be #1 on my list if i considered them defunct.

SYL is as dead as dead can be.

FNM was just a one off reunion and they're back to ceasing to exist.
