yup...use spoiler tags, folks! That way we won't have to open a new thread for spoiler-free discussions.

Oh ffs. Trying SO hard to resist downloading this.

I've got the gold vinyl on pre-order and I'm properly looking forward to sitting down with a beer and absolutely rinsing it.

BUT... it's there, right there under my mouse pointer. AGHHH.

If you can listen to the song "Transcendence" and not fall in love with Dev all over again, you must be a Stepford wife.

I also couldn't resist... This may end up being my favorite Devy album. What a great effort!

I didn't know what to make of it until after 3 or 4 listens.

Some spoiler-y but subjective thoughts:

I like what they did to Truth, *except* that anticlimactic bit when I expect it to go full blown hallelujah(!), but luckily it picks right back up again.
Stormbending, Failure and Secret Sciences are all great. Nice little slow growers.
Higher will definitely please a lot of the SYL/Deconstruction fans out there. It's huge!
I'm truly fascinated by how little Star changed since the live show where Dev made it. Not that it needed to change at all, I'm just impressed by how quickly he can make a song that is pretty much album ready.
Transcendence is my absolute favourite among all the tracks. Just. Wow. That bagpipe-esque intro! Yeeeeeeeeah.
Offer Your Light is probably my least favourite due to being a bit repetitive, but it's still very good.
I just love how From The Heart is a completely unapologetic love song. I suspect a lot of adult fans, those who have grown out of their "I must be tough and mean" years into "My spouse and children are everything to me" will find this highly relatable.
Transdermal Celebration is a perfect ending to an album, with that very Dev-typical ambient outro.

Stormbending, to me, is one of the best friggin' things he's ever done. Just awesome.
