Cheers! Sounds awesome, will make sure I see it soon!

Currently watching This is England on filmfour... I'll edit this post in a couple of hours.

EDIT: Jesus... that was powerful. Recommended, although I think I slightly prefer Dead Man's Shoes (both directed by Shane Meadows).

Those two have been on my "to watch" list for far too long now...

I don't know what I would say watching the old Indiana Jones, but the new one sucks.

No magic, no suspense, stupid chase scenes, useless scenes, plain characters...

My brother and I looked at each other with an awkward look at least 15 times throughout the movie.

The nuke scene - useless, the car chase - ridiculous (particularly when the vehicle supposed to cut the trees has been destroyed), the jump on the tree and the waterfall - ridiculous, the greedy "buddy" - seen a thousand times, Cate Blanchett's character - no charisma, Shia LaBeouf's character - plain and boring...

Some talk about the "love story", is this a love story ? There isn't a tiny bit of passion.
Even the jokes were wrong, when they slide under the table with a moto in the university, Indy's the one supposed to act as if everything's normal, not the student with binoculars...
The temporality was kinda wrong too, as if they spent at most 30 minutes in an area before moving to the next one, so everything could fit in 2 days.

I'm at loss for words concerning the Tarzan and anti-communist monkeys scene.

Edit : Oh ! And when coming back from the theater, I was "delighted" to find "Torque" on TV.

Falk, you're right on the money. The latest India Jones is dreadful... right from the first scene....cringeworthy. The sci-fi aspect at the end just doesn't work. :? I won't waste any more words on it.

I want more films like Heat. Like Dark City (which I played again the other day!). Like Bourne Identity. Like Shawshank. Like Outlaw. Like Dead Man Shoes.

Watched Rambo 4 last night. it wasnt bad accually. very impressive action scenes. it was nice and violent too 8) . it didnt get too overly cheesy like the horrid rambo 2 and 3. odd thing was he had one of those flashbacks to the last 3 movies like Rocky did in Rocky 6 :? . good movie anyway.

It was pretty sucki sucki, yes. Don't you just wanna punch the camera guy?

Last movie seen was The mist. It was better than expected, average scary movie with some social studies/issues thrown in.
But, the ending sucked bad. Felt like the director had decided to piss people off on purpose. And the message that came across (at least for me) was really weird.. "Fear fundamentalism/religion, trust the military". Was that really the point of the King novel?

6/10

Poland - Austria (2008), directed by Howard Webb.

Tension was here, but ending scene was incredibly dissapointing. Though death threats issued by the audience towards the director are bit over the top if you ask me.

Bourne Identity rocked! They are making a new one called I think The Bourne Legacy.

Actually Bourne Identity was the last movie I saw! I thought it was good...Definitely good.

I'll glady welcome another addition to the Bourne series, they are incredible. Ultimatum was my favourite by a longshot!

Watched Zombi 2 (aka Zombie Flesh Eaters) and witnessed just about the most epic thing ever in the Shark Vs Zombie scene - just ridiculous.

I'm about to go and see The Happening, so I'll update this post later on with my thoughts. I'm a fan of his films, (minus Lady in the Water), I really appreciate the directing etc but at times I find the storylines a bit weak. It will hopefully be interesting at least!

Edit: RE The Happening, don't go to see it based on your love of the director, or looking for a "Sixth Sense 2". However I appreciated the concept of the film itself. To be blunt, "a bit weird" pretty much sums up what I thought at the credits.

Yeah, that one was good but mostly as a project. I guess Quentin stayed pretty true to Grindhouse cinema... Which is what the idea was, so I applaud it. Dialogue must have taken forever to write... lol.

The Incredible Hulk. good, a bit too Hollywood (ie cliche and corny). But, it was a superhero movie and unlike the last one, it FELT like a superhero movie, so I give it a resounding HULK SMASHHH!!!!!!!!!!!1111111@

I'm know I'm a bit late, but...
Pan's Labyrinth. Saw it this past week at a friend's, was totally blown away. Every little nuance of the movie just seems to have so much to it and flow so well. Plus, the Captain is an amazing villain. I hated him so much.
