About what? The fact that all the hottest days are yet to come? Making your toil all the more horrible?

Honest, I wouldn't wish that on you. I hope your town stays cold for the summer. :D I'll take some warmth here though thanks.

It never gets cool here during the summer. The fact that I heard it wasnt summer yet the other day almost made me break down. No lie. I fucking hate this weather, you can have it.

Pondering upon getting a baritone six string - An ESP. It frees up my guitar for standard E and means I'll have a guitar than can deal with a heavier tuning. Decisions decisions...

Just get a 7 string. A nice one, with a thinner neck. You wont regret it, in fact, you'll probably play it more than any 6 string.

In the same vein I'm pondering to go for a Boss GT-10, Line6 Pod X3 Live, Digitech RP1000.. or ditch the multi-effect pedals and go for a Peavey 100W Vypyr modeling amp combined with a Sanpera II footswitch. I'd like to know which is best for eliminating the silence while switching preset patches. I believe both the GT-10 and X3 Live are capable of some bleed-over of patches due to 2 processors each handling a separate signal loop (or something, I'm really not that guitar-tech-savvy). The RP1000 and Vypyr don't have this, although the Vypyr might have some reverb that can cover up the switching. I can't say because none of the guitar shops around here have a Vypyr I can play around with...

Also, the GT-10 needs better modeling, the X3 Live is said to have serious durability issues, and the Vypyr series is fairly new so there's some reliability issues still. As said before the RP1000 may still have a short silence when switching preset patches.

If anyone has any experience with these things, please feel free to share. I'm hoping I can test all the multi-effect pedals this Friday. For the amp.. I dunno what to do. Looks so appealing though. :)

I'm at work and feel rather strong urge to fire up the Reaper and fiddle up with sounds. I'm pretty sure this urge will vaporize as soon as I'll be in range of my own computer and guitars, funny thing. Hello another one of countless evenings of doing exactly nothing creative.

My concern is I'm not great enough on a six string to consider getting a seven string. The next guitar I buy will be the second one I've ever owned, and with only just over a year od experience under my belt, I don't want to buy a seven string and then find that, though I have the lovely low sound, I won't use it much, mostly because I don't feel I abuse the six strings I have enough as it is.

I would love to hear Bach's Tocatta and Fugue played by a giant orchestra, with Gene laying down some mad drums behind it. I just reckon it would be awesome.
