If you're willing to be a guitarist in a post-rock or doom metal band, there's probably a bunch of spots here for you.

Maybe. But if you were seriously thinking about it, you'd have to establish yourself in the Chicago metal community first. Veil of Maya have enough guitarists to pick from our high school alone, forget the rest of the city.

True, but *points to all the dudes who grew up with Veil of Maya and are all highly trained in classical and jazz music theory*

Just playing the songs wouldn't be enough. They'd have to have faith in your song-writing ability.

Trust me, you could get in. You remind me a lot of Marc personality wise, and you have the guitar skill. But you'd need to establish yourself to them before you did.

Or maybe not, maybe all it would take is a try-out.

Haha I'd be so up to it if they wanted another guitarist. I think I'd have a fighting chance, the only song on The Common Man's Collapse I cant play is "All Eyes Look Ahead"

This is terrible news. :(

Wait, so question to the moderators, and it might be a stupid technicality. The rules say don't post anything too sexual, but say nothing about posting anything too violent... isn't that a bit odd?
