What are your opinions about Steve Vai's 10-Hour Guitar Workout ?

I remember when he wrote this, what? 15 years ago? 20? It was a heck of a routine to commit to. It shows in his playing, but I couldn't do something like that.

Why is it called the "10 hour" guitar workout? Do you do it every ten hours? I don't understand.

You do it for 10 hours a day.

That sounds insane. I tried it...just reading along with the tab. Pretty intense man.

I am doing it everyday for like 1h but only till part 8 (since 2 weeks so far, I am starting further parts tomorrow )

and btw it is 30hours workout lol divided into 3x 10h I will upload pdf links with full tabs from some magazine.

I've been doing this 2 hours a day max for the past week. I realized my playing really wasn't as optimal as it should be and dug this up from an old guitar magazine I had lying around. It's fantastic if a bit strenuous to commit to. I'd love to spend hours every day practicing this stuff.....but it's a bit unrealistic.

Chris Letchford from Scale the Summit just released an instructional book and it has a ton of very good exercises in it, I would check that out too.
