He's not on a board... But he is on a bed. And the structural stability of beds depends on a series of wooden boards. So technically, this is utterly perfect.

If that's a smoker he'll end up as the biggest bang since the big one in that, um, dress.

Aren't all modern MIDI controllers USB compatible?

Good question with audio interface thing, I'm bit bored with my second hand audigy. I plan to buy POD studio GX thingie, looks like a deal for decent audio interface with native ASIO and POD farm bundled. Sure it's guitar only, but I don't plan to plug any other gizmos to that. Aside of that, I heard EMU interfaces are good in "reasonable price" department.

E-MU do some very nice and solid equipment. I've recently got myself a Novation Nio 2|4. It's pretty nice, comes with it's own set of VSTs, such as various amps and distortions. It's got a good sound quality, powered by USB. One line inpt, one XLR input, as well as Midi output and line outputs again. Lots of knobs (teehee) for controlling signal input and all that.

??

Pod XT is definitely a USB interface. It's definitely the easiest and smartest way to record with said device if you're on a budget. The only thing getting an actual input device to run through is going to do is slightly improve the sound quality, while in the long run that's a good thing, you are just doing home recordings after all.

It's really up to you, I would personally say save your money for either the add ons for the POD or some other new gear, but if you're really looking for a way to get higher quality recordings then go for it.

It's St. Patrick's Day, and exactly a month since I quit drinking.

Ironic, hm?

I had no idea Biert. Good for you! :D Maybe I would know such things if my janky wireless would let me stick around IRC for more than 2 minutes.

Oh, what I meant is, I only have a silly internal soundcard thing that's inside the mobo, I don't have a real one. Forget all the other stuff you all said which I have no idea what means.
