I don't really post stuff from my job much, since I often just don't feel all that comfortable. This piece on electronic waste is pretty damn interesting though, as I wrote one of my last papers at college on the very subject.

Suddenly, Wall-E appears. Never really thought about electronics stuff like that because I rarely throw it away and I keep my old mobile phones. But when a few billion people do it I guess there will be some sort of pileup.


Anyhoo.

I hate to be a whore (not really) but a buddy and I have entered a contest where we can win music software for shittons of money which would aid us greatly in the process of starting up a studio. OMG. That is unbelievable.

So my husband and I saw Amon Amarth last week. We took the bus to the part of town where the venue was and were walking down the street to a pub when a guy with blond hair and an Amon Amarth hoodie walked up to us. He asked, in a lovely voice, if we knew where the show was. So we gave him directions. When he walked away my husband said, "I'll bet he's with the band or the crew." And I said, "Maybe - but there's a lot of students in this town." Or something like that. Plus I always think it's a little strange to wear your own gear, but, whatever.

So of course the show starts (totally fucking awesome, btw), and it was the drummer. Fuck. Would have invited him out to the pub with us.

Anyway, during the show Hegg, the vocalist, mentioned the up-coming movie Thor, which I can't believe I hadn't heard of. I think the trailer is pretty funny - http://thor.marvel.com/

Does anyone have an idea when these next 2 special Dev shows are going to be announced? I'm worried they'll slip by me due to Uni etc. and that I'll miss out on tickets.

Incidentally, I may know of a pair of tickets for the Ki and Ghost shows possibly going up for sale soon as plans have completely and utterly gone to shit.

I've got tickets for those shows (...well, orders have been placed... but apparently SeeTickets like to keep you waiting forever for your pieces of special paper) - but at the same time, have no plans as of yet. It was a total "Buy now think later" deal, except the "think" part hasn't happened so far.

Yuhuh, depending on what the twat that has them wants to do, they may become free if I don't get the opportunity to casually steal them back. It's out of my control now, but I'll let folks know if/when they end up being for sale.
