Saw 3D: The Final Chapter Is it really, I hope so... Watched this from dvd so no 3D. People getting ripped to shreds and stabbed to throat a lot, typical Saw shit. Can't really put my finger on this one, is it good or bad. It's just another Saw sequel.

loved it. Great performance by Natalie Portman. Partly pretty creepy and messed up, pretty much what you expect from Aronofsky. So yeah, it was exactly what I expected and I really enjoyed it.

pretty fucked up Korean flick about a serial killer who murders young women, happens to murder the pregnant wife of a secret agent and then gets seriously messed up by that secret agent throughout the entire movie. One thing I can say about this movie is that it's certainly not your usual revenge flick. And there's some pretty gruesome scenes in it so I would not recommend it to people who have a problem with very graphic violence in movies.

127 Hours

A fairly good flick. Was strange at first watching it. Especially the idea that people can make a movie consisting of a guy's arm, trapped in a boulder, for almost the whole movie. But stuff like that has been done before (Phone Booth, etc.) and it all adds up too. I think its only right to praise James Franco's performance also. I mean, you'd have to do some great acting if the audience is gonna watch a guy struggling for the whole time. Overall, well structured and even more shocking since its a true story.

Edward Scissorhands

Now I really like this film. Its like Tim Burton's twist on Beauty and the Beast, except its quirky. Interesting setting and characters. The way Depp immersed himself into his role as a shy but violent individual, was kind of spooky and brilliant imo.

The only thing that put me off was the ending. It didn't feel like it was finished yet. Like it ended in such a way that it wasn't a happy or sad ending, but somewhere in between. We're left with Edward back where he started, still feeling sad as before and not feeling like anything was accomplished. Well, except for his involvement in the people around him. There is a few metaphors and hidden concepts that can be explored in this film too, but I won't go that far. Its an all-round good movie.

Last time I watched Edward Scissorhands it was a double feature with Sweeney Todd (my own DVDs, I just wanted to watch them that way). They truly fit together.

Wow, I just realized the similarities there. Thats a very good idea. Too bad no one's thought of selling the two together as a bundle pack or something .

That is mostly enough, I watch movies lot too but those mind blowing movies are pretty hard find these days. Pretty good is actually decent verdict compared to "total waste of time" or "absolute shaite"

That new X-men movie, it's preatty good, much better than X-men 3 and Wolverine.

Saw the Shawshank Redemption again last night on tv. Remains a pretty fantastic story.

Game Of Thrones = best show on TV imo. Bar none.

I know one thing: I'm sure as hell not waiting a year to find out what happens next: just got eBooks of the 5 released books, & will get the new one when it comes out.

Transformers: Dark of the moon

it was GREAT...in my opinion anyways. The first hour was a bit goofy here and there but the remainder of the movie (over 90 minutes) was much more serious, much darker and much more action packed than the other 2 Transformers movies. I watched it in 3D and I usually am a bit hesitant about 3D and usually think it's just a gimmick that I don't need. And this was actually my first 3D movie using the new technologies. And man, I'm glad THIS was my first one. If you enjoyed the first movie, thought the second one was crap or actually loved both of them then do yourself a favor and watch this one (in 3D if possible). If you didn't like either of them then yeah...don't waste your money, you're probably not gonna like this one either. To me this was the best one out of all three and I'm glad that it was much better than the second one and that I liked it better than the first one.

It's super late, but I watched 'Punch Drunk Love' last night.


I'm a pretty big Paul Thomas Anderson fan, I love 'Magnolia' as well as 'Boogie Nights', but I'd have to say I'm not sure how I feel about this one.
I loved Adam Sander's performance, seeing him pull of a character that complex. Actually, I loved everyone's performances. It was really well acted, and directed. I just don't know how I feel about the story line. I know Paul Thomas Anderson works well with a long time slot, but I feel him trying to make a 90 minute movie hindered him a bit. I think if the movie was longer, and took more time to unravel, it would've worked out better. To some it all up, it was insanely well made, put didn't have too strong of a story line. Just me, though.

Die Hard 4: Dunno what all the fuss is about, it's a good movie. Not a good Die Hard, but Brucie was awesome and the action satisfied my standards of manliness. Good fun.

Last night I watched;

Terminator Salvation... what a horrendous movie. The characters where as thin as a standard A4 size paper, dissolving all the possible tension, the film could've had, to thin air. The plot holes and the logical fallacies where as huge as the 20-story high terminator monster. Don't watch this piece of crap of a movie if you don't want your veins to pop. Oh, there were a few impressive visual effects and if you are a fan of teal-orange color grading this might be a good reference film for your own "way too often used Hollywood look". 1 Star.

Social Network. The opposite of what I said of T4, except this film also had impressive visual effects (the twins) and teal-orange grading. Not often can you see such a fine screenplay and impressive dialogue. 4,5 Stars.

The Thing

It was alright, but nothing too special.
Good effects, decent story. Lacking in female actors though.
