I recently saw the new Johnny English Reborn last week.

Yeah, its a funny flick. Because its Rowan Atkinson, I instantly laugh anyway . Though I think everything else like plot and characters got a bit too wacky. For me I was all for the comedy.

Its actually inspired me to watch Blackadder. I've had all the series dvd's lent to me a while ago, just never got around to watching it...until now.

When you watch them, please post your thoughts in the tv thread! I'll admit that Blackadder is in my top dozen or so shows ever. When you start watching the first few episodes you might think I'm on crack but it gets better and better and better. Despite his humble beginnings, Blackadder goes on to become a very, very special character. Have fun.

Jean-luc Godard's Weekend. Watched it in a film class last night and, maybe due to the fact that I have a horrible cold, I hated it. Had zero patience for whatever message it was trying to send. I love random, but way too far.

And Lord Flashheart is one of the greatest characters from any show ever. Love that man. :D

Super - It surprised me in an awesome way.. i was wary that the film is screamingly simular in thesis to kick ass.. but this film was alot better than kick ass, and i felt alot more adult. including the 2 rape scenes.

there were more shocks.. not as in scary shocks, but 'ohmygodcanthisfilmbeseriouslyshowingamaninasuperherocostumewhackingbaddieswithwrenches' good way. my verdict is, if you liked kick ass, youll love the overblown stupidity and somewhat surrealisms in this film - weird scene with an octopus. it has comedy, but in a deliciously dark way. like green and blacks 85% dark chocolate.. and ive gotta be honest, im on my 3rd viewing in 4 days.

goooooood stuff 8)

little warning.. dont drink during this film. you WILL essentially spit it everywhre, damaging eletrical items, your mums couch, soak the cat.. but worst of all, inhale and choke. :) enjoy!

I'm friends with Jeff Caxide of Isis on Facebook, and he's doing a horror film a day throughout October. I'm considering doing the same thing with what little free time I have :D if so I shall update this topic with my watchings...

Leechmaster wrote:Death at a Funeral - Wasn't expecting a whole lot from this and basically only watched it because it has Peter Dinklage and I FACKIN LOVE THE DINKLAGE but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! Some seriously excellent cringeworthy comedy... I then tried to watch the American version and it just wasn't the same at all, disappointingly. I just loved the actors in the English one to bits... Especially Peter Vaughan as Uncle Alfie. He was brilliant. "EVERYTHING'S SO FUCKING GREEN"

Having given Rango a try the other night and loving it, I was recommended to watch Megamind by the same person and once again they came up trumps. I usually can't stand Will Ferrell but he's a surprisingly good voice actor! It had a great cast with David Cross and Brad Pitt.. Jonah Hill remains one of the most annoying actors alive even in animated form but that didn't put too much of a dampener on an otherwise really good story.

Followed your lead and finally watched Megamind last night.

Admittedly I was in a lubricated state of mind but I really enjoyed it too. Thought it was quite sweet and a good laugh. And David Cross's character stole it. What a champ!

phantasm is great for those who like a little head-buggery.. and for some reason it had David Walliams in it as 'the tall man'.. hes not credited by the same man, and seeing how this film was made in the 70's had walliams been credited, him and his time travelling escapades would have been rumbled.. but watch the film and see what you think.. ive got a point..
