Saw it in 2D today. First time at the cinema since November last time last year and what a killer movie to see! Hulk steals the show but the others all get a good showing too. I loved the use of humour. The Galaga guy had me in stitches. The movie also had me wanting to go out to my garage to work out. So many triceps
There was talk about Highlander 2 - Renegade Version few messages back, and as it happens I have it in my collection as I usually get director's cuts when I can. So, long time has passed since I last watched it and now I remember why... If theatrical version is complete shaite, this does not improve things a great deal. List of rubbish is so long that I can't be bothered, what were they thinking? Obviously nothing more than money. Avoid!
Dark City (Director's Cut)
one of my favorite sci-fi flicks from the 90's. Wonderfully dark and kind of like a combination of Blade Runner, The Matrix and Hellraiser...well, as I said, kinda. Watched it on Blu-ray and it definitely looks much better than it did on DVD and VHS, heh. It's not gonna make your jaw drop when it comes to its HD presentation but I doubt it will ever look better than this.

One of my favourite films too!!!! It's almost nauseating how it is edited though - a real visual headfuck.
I have 2 copies on DVD for some reason. Thats probably a good sign. Maybe.

the Director's Cut is even better. Not sure if that one's available on DVD though. But yeah, great flick!
I have Dark City's director's cut on DVD, and it is way better than its theatrical version, I agree.
one of my copies is the directors cut but I dont think I have actually seen it yet. What is the difference?

"Mongo only pawn in game of life..."
Expanded story, some subtle visual improvements, and the opening narration has been removed.

I'd tell you to check this page http://www.schnittberichte.com/schnittbericht.php?ID=3551125 which shows all the differences, alas it's all in German
but I agree, the DC is the better version. So now you know which movie to watch next, Ming Mong
edit: Also, if any of you guys wants to know whether a Blu-ray upgrade for this movie makes sense or not

Saw it in 2D yesterday - and yes. Joss Whedon has done a fantastic job with this film. I could see his style of humour and action in it throughout. Excellent movie, made me really happy!!
I have a map to the Kingdom but was forced to surrender the keys.

I have the original version on DVD. I love that movie! Dark sci-fi, almost Clive Barkerish. I'd like to see the Director's Cut tho!
Smarmosaurus.
I'm watching Inception cause Tom Hardy is FIT.

if you got a Blu-ray player then pick up the Blu-ray. It contains the theatrical and the Director's Cut. Very much worth it. But I guess you folks in the US (and probably everyone else except for us Germans) can get the Director's Cut on DVD too.
Also: The final cut of Blade Runner on Blu-ray. Holy fuck! Holy fuck is all I can say!
also, if you look at my avatar you might know which other movie I watched recently. Nope, it wasn't The Passion of the Christ.
