I think I have developed some serious anxiety related issues. Working on my schedule made me super stressed even an hour after I was done. Elevated heartrate and all that jazz. 2012 sucked a big one.

Happy new year to all you insane forum people. May it be better than the last one. :D

Been having issues sleeping the past few nights due to anxiety over break-up a few weeks ago. Once the break-up happened I was too busy to be upset, once Christmas came around and I had time to think it just messed me up. Kinda glad to be getting back to work tomorrow as it can keep my mind busy but it's half past midnight and no way am I tired enough to get to sleep.

On the plus side, I just removed her from my Facebook which feels like a positive step. It was kinda hanging over me her still being on there.

Break ups are never easy. Give it time, try not to think about it too much and the anxiety will pass.

Cheers, got a few plans to keep me busy for the next few months so yeah, hopefully time can do its tricks! Trying to turn the whole experience into a positive thing. Right now though I really need sleep and being at work isn't exactly thrilling my mind awake.

...and Faffy's mum strikes again: We're having some good bye/happy birthday thingy for me today, as I am going back to London tomorrow, and my actual birthday is in a week or so. My grandparents, aunt and uncle are invited (my mum's parents and siblings)... So far, just awesome. But apparently I don't get to invite my dad's side of the family. Why? Because apparently they never show up. The real reason? Probably because mum worry that her boyfriend will get upset that my dad's family were invited but not his family... who I barely know. Uh... wat.
It's not a jealousy thing (e.g. ex's family vs. boyfriend's family), which makes it all the more absurd.
Fuck it. I'll invite them myself, and it'll be fine. :P

I know your pain there Faffy, I had the same thing a couple of years ago. :(

Speaking of mum troubles, she's at it again. Decided she wants to sell the house and move in with her fiance at the other side of Yorkshire (who she's been with for less than a month, after breaking up with him because of his weed-induced paranoia) but to do this she has to pull her son out of his first year at college, away from his friends and family...But hasn't spoken to him about it yet and absolutely refuses to listen to reason.
Dad , uncle and gran will hit the fucking roof since they pay a fuckload of money to get him into this college which is the only specialised one in the area for his study subjects...But hey, it's not the first time she's chosen getting regular dick over the best interests of her own children. I'd be happy about it if she would just wait for him to finish college but meh. Le sigh.

as activities go, that is pretty unawesome. Unless they are someone else's. And then not both.

Thankfully, I didn't accidentally post that in the "what are you doing right now?" Thread!

Almost every time I stay over at my boyfriend's place, the dude with the room next to his picks up his girlfriend around midnight and brings her over, bangs the crap out of her, then she leaves. The walls are paper thin and the house is so old and rickety I can FEEL them going at it through the floor. My boyfriend suffers none though as he goes to bed really early. We're moving out in about a month, but the kicker is that the guy is coming with us to live for awhile. He's a nice dude, but some things are meant to be private. And not felt through the floor by a third party. :?

Perhaps you could suggest she tries laxatives or colonic irrigation as an alternative method of depooping?

Well, I will be quitting the ever loving shit out of my job very soon. Apparently I was hired on a year trial period, wherein I get essentially 3 holidays of my choosing off, one day of vacation, and one sick day. Which I used all of right around the holidays because I was not told that was all I was getting for A YEAR. I fully understand hiring an employee for three or six months trial period, but an entire year where the most time I can take off is all of 5 days? Seriously, fuck that. Put on top of that that I'm hourly and I've been stuck away from home for 3 weeks and only been being my paid my normal 40 hours is bullshit.

So yeah, quitting the shit out of it the first chance I get. :chain:

A year long trial with 5 days of leave isn't a trial, it's horseshit. To not tell your employee about it is an even bigger pile of horseshit.

Sounds like you're doing the right thing mate. All the best with moving on to something better!

I don't pretend to know about US employment law but how the hell can they legally get away with that!? Jeeeeez!

Do it Sean. That sounds as weaselly as they come, and those employers aren't worth your time or value.
